International Women’s Day (IWD) is celebrated globally every year on March 8th to honour the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women while advocating for gender equality and women’s rights worldwide. As part of this year’s International Women’s Day, we are proud to highlight the importance of supporting women in construction and manual trades, in partnership with Women and Manual Trades (WaMT).
Together with WaMT our goal is to:
- Support women to access and progress in construction careers
- Provide training and career advice
- Promote inclusive site environments; and
- Create meaningful opportunities
International Women’s Day is a reminder that building a stronger industry starts with supporting the people in it. By working together, we can continue to create a construction environment where everyone can succeed.
