The Knowle Funeralcare is an 18th century grade II listed building with memorial grounds in Keighley, West Yorkshire. The 6 week refit undertaken by Mahoney Contracts saw the branch renovated to a bespoke specification to bring it inline with the Coop profile, whilst maintaining the characteristics of the property. Other works included;
- Development and implementation of the latest visual and audio equipment to allow services to be viewed by those unable to attend.
- Regeneration of the disused patio area, providing a useable outdoor space for services along with a feature memorial wall.
- Installation of an acoustic folding partition to allow greater versatility of the Service Room.
- Upgrade of the existing refrigeration units to increase capacity.
- Provision of air conditioning.
- Reconfiguration of the internal layout to improve both public and staff facilities.
- Construction of a new concrete ramp to improve access into the building.
- Restoration and decoration of the original leaded windows.
This multi-trade project has provided the local community with a much improved Funeral Home, in a very unique and picturesque setting.
