Our first refit launch of 2026 at the Co-op Food store in Skelmersdale.
This 6-week fast-track refit project delivered a comprehensive transformation whilst maintaining a condensed temporary store, providing uninterrupted trade as much as possible.
The scope of works included a full upgrade of the refrigeration plant, significantly improving energy efficiency and reliability, plus formation of a new external plant area, purpose-built to accommodate the upgraded systems.
Internally, the store was transformed with a refreshed layout and a modernised feel aligned with the Co-op brand standards. Enhancements included updated finishes, upgraded LED lighting, and a reconfigured sales floor designed to improve customer flow and overall shopping experience.
Well done to the team and contractors involved in delivering this project with effective planning, phased delivery, and strong stakeholder coordination to achieve a high-quality retail environment without compromising trading operations.
