Marsden

Mahoney Contracts is proud to have recently completed an extensive programme of external repair and refurbishment works at the Co-op Food store in Marsden.

Built in 1936, the prominent high-street building required a comprehensive package of works to restore and improve its external fabric while retaining its original character.

The project included repairs and replacements to more than 60 windows, together with stonework and structural repairs, roofing works, façade cleaning, and the redecoration of the shopfront.

With the store occupying a busy high-street corner, careful planning and coordination were essential throughout the project. Our team worked to manage the works safely and efficiently while minimising disruption to the store, surrounding businesses, pedestrians, and the wider local community.

The completed works have made a significant difference to the appearance of the building, bringing the external elevations back to life and helping to preserve this distinctive property for the future.

We’re extremely proud of the finished result and pleased to hand the completed project back to Co-op, the store team, and the Marsden community.
