Mahoney Contracts are excited to announce the delivery of a brand new Coop Food store at Great Moor, Stockport, bringing a modern, sustainable, purpose built retail space to the local community.
The scheme involved demolition of the existing store and neighbouring property to make way for an entirely new fit for purpose 2 storey portal framed building, with customer car park, including energy initiatives such as EV chargers and PV Solar Panels. Incredibly, from tender submission in Christmas 2024, planning was fast tracked to begin on site in March 2025 with the store back open in time for Christmas!
We are proud to have contributed to the creation of a new community store that will serve the Great Moor area for years to come.
