Mahoney Contracts is pleased to have recently completed and handed over works at Co-op Ainslie Street in Barrow-in-Furness.
A key element of the project was addressing the failed timber flooring across the sales floor. The works involved the full removal of the existing timber floor and construction of a new solid concrete floor, followed by levelling, screeding, and a new tiled finish.
Throughout the project, the team focused on retaining and reusing existing assets wherever suitable, replacing only those elements genuinely required. This helped achieve a refit-style finish, giving the store a fresh and improved appearance while maximising the use of existing assets.
It was great to hand the refreshed store back to the Co-op team and the local community.
